Italy trip..part 2...PISA / FLORENCE

After conquering Rome..Florence ( Firenze ) and Pisa was next on our list. Its one of the most beautiful place in Italy, with small marbled streets and old buildings that dates back to the 1500's. Cradle of the Renaisssance and home of Machiavelli , Michelangelo and the Medici, the city seems unfairly blessed with art, culture and history. Controversy still reigns over who founded Florence. The most common accepted story was that Julius Caesar founded Florentia round 59bc, but archaeological evidence suggest an earlier village founded perhaps by the Etruscans of Fiesole as early as 200BC.
