Happy Mothers Day....Mum I luv U !!!!!

Every 2nd Sunday of May is a big day to all of us... A day for us to pay tribute to all da great mums out there..... For me we celebrated the big day at RaKuzen, Hartamas Square. Today we celebrated together with my 2nd brother's mum in law...well the more the merrier...

For whom dont know about Rakuzen, Its a very good and affordable Japanese restaurant chain in KL. How good is good ?? Judging by the amount of Japanese frequenting this restaurant is good enough to convince the most hardcore japanese ryori fans out there. Food is good, ambience is good and reasonably priced food.

The illusration on the menu...and the real thing....Just love those yakitori scallops....

Had a Rokaku Bento ( RM 55 ) with an enormous servings of sashimi, tempura , yakitori , chawanmushi , salad , miso soup and Chirashizushi . This reasonably priced bento seto guarantees to satisfy the most demanding eater like me !!!! Huge servings , only set back is the salmon sashimi which was sliced too thick for my liking and the egg-roe wasnt too fresh. Also Rakuzen diners would notice that they dont really serve shoyu ( soya sauce ) and wasabi with their sets ( even you have sushi and sashimi on it ) ..which you have to ask separately... Dont see the logic why they dont serve it together ??????

Total bill for 9 sets with the addition of 2 garlic fried rice only came out to RM457, which is just slightly over RM50/person is very reasonable priced for a Japanese ryori of such standard. Oh ya. btw Rakuzen also has an ala carte all you can eat for Rm50/pac, help every Sunday from 12-3pm only at Rakuzen Chulan Square. Tried it..believe me its worth eat...
Its really prepared fresh unlike some so called Japanese buffet restaurant like Saisaki ( I banned them ) wh0 charges around RM50/pax serving some so called Japanese buffet to some undemanding Japanese food fans..to a discerning Jap food lover ,the food there is just totally rubbish....

Thats my lovely mum on the left wearing white. The cakes , an American Chocolate ( yummy ) and red-dates cake ( ??? )...
