A limestone lioness sculpture small enough to fit into one hand has fetched a record-setting USD 57 million ( thats a cool RM 191 million ) at a Sotheby's auction in New York. An anonymous Englishman bidder purchased the Guennol Lioness for $57.16 million US (including auction house premium) much more than the earlier anticipated USd18 million .
Standing just a touch over 8 cm high, the artifact hails from ancient Mesopotamia and is believed to be at least 5,000 years old.
So what would you do with RM 191 million ???? Would you spend RM191 million on a 8cm sculpture which wouldnt be noticed if you even put it on display at your living room. Though it makes a great paperweight. I would rather spend the money on this....................
